IC434 is a gaseous nebula region in the central part of Orion, directly located next to the eastrn star of Orion’s belt, ALnitak. The gas nebula IC434 is a HII-region, which is ionized by the star Sigma Orionis. The horsehead dark nebula (Barnard 33) is an aggregation of cold gas and dust.
