NGC6960 is the western part of a big super nova remnant in Cygnus. It is appx. located in a distance of 1500Lyrs. Explosion of the Supernova
lies roughly 7500 years in the past and within that time span, the dust and ionized gas - which can be seen as reddisch (Hydrogen) and
bluish (Oxygen) filaments - spread over an area of roughly 3 degrees in diameter.
